LBPSB Guidance Services

About us

The LBP Guidance professionals provide counselling services, as well as academic and vocational guidance, to the students in our schools and centres. The Guidance professionals have master's degrees, and many are full members of the Ordre des Conseillers et Conseillères d’Orientation du Québec (OCCOQ).

We work as part of multi-disciplinary school teams to help facilitate the academic success and social development of our students. Guidance Team members in schools or centres often provide liaison with community based partners from the health and social service sectors.

The Guidance professionals are assigned to a specific school and are available for consultation by students, staff, and parents on a daily basis. They strive to create a safe and caring environment where students can receive timely intervention in a period of crisis as well as ongoing support and guidance throughout their time in the school or center.
